This is one of my favourite cartoon episodes EVER...I remember watching this with a friend one sunday afternoon, with fuck off mugs of tea and the biggest packet of digestives in the world (it was a regular sunday thing to do after a saturday night out)
Most of the sundays were spent watching old X-Men, Iron Man an Hulk on Jetix(Then fox kids) Don't judge ya bastards, it was a great way to pass a hangover while indulging in mild fanboy banter an general chit chat

I've had to edit the clip to fit to youtube's lousy 10 minutes of video rule (seriously guys fucking sort this out)

To get you up to pace with the story as we join in at an important junction, Mojo Jojo, Princess Morbucks, Fuzzy Lumpkins, and Him have gone to the girls house to attack them, all being thwarted by them on so many occasions , they argue about who was there 1st, after the girls come out an tell them to shut up that they are trying to sleep, they attack together at the same time... where something that has never happened before unfolds.

It is jammed with the most references I have ever seen in a cartoon and in my humble opinion is one of the best examples of modern cartoon writing of this decade. Seth MacFarlane could learn from this episode I think

Someday monkey won’t play piano song, play piano song.

Enjoy

End of an era

Once upon a time if you were trying to find somesort of imformation online, you would more than likely end up at a website that began with www.geocities.com

Geocities was the one stop shop for people who wanted a website but hadnt a clue how to begin.

In all honesty they were the worst thing on the internet and only now have stopped clogging up search engines, nothing worse than hoping you've found the site you are after only to find a page with a shitty lay out filled with dead links.(they kinda were they blogspot of the early 90's)

Now after 15yrs the plug is finally being pulled by yahoo who bought them back in 1999

I suppose with the rise of personal blogs and social networking sites, the need for a website thats would contain the data "http://www.geocities.com/soho/lofts/2968" is pretty much obsolete.

And yes, i did have a website on geocities, it was maintained properly for maybe 4 months in 2002 and got one update in 2003. Looking back ive no idea what i wanted to do with the website and by 2004 i was using the 1st of a long list of social networking sites i have used. So here it is www.geocities.com/evilsteveirl laugh away.

Im sure in 7 years i will look back at this blog in the same way lol

so yeah, bye bye geocities... you wont be missed

Muppets 11

Take 2 films, mash together and make one movie trailer.
Seen many times, but only a few seem to make me go OHHHHHH that was clever.
This is clever:

Its also 10 times better than the ACTUAL Oceans 12 film... seriously Julia Roberts plays a role where she has to pretend to be Julia Roberts.... fuck off

Way back in 2007 there was a viral video that was played on MANY occasions in No. 14 Johnsgate, it became a house meme i suppose, with quotes being thrown out at random times, infact they still make an appearance when i meet my housemate from that time out an about.

The video was of course the genius Vader Sessions and I dare you not to laugh your ass off while watching this.

Baseball....

As with everything on the internet this idea soon becomes popular and we are greeted with lots of similiar but ultimatly disappointing imitations.

That is, until i discovered this gem:

In a words... Noice.

15 Years

I'm slightly annoyed at myself.

I'd missed the 15th anniversary of Kurt Cobains death.

Nirvana may not have had as huge an impact on me as some musicians however the music still had an impact.
I was pretty much discovering Nirvana round the time Kurt killed himself, so his death didn't seem to have the same affect on me as it did my friends. In fact the later deaths of Dimebag Darrell and Layne Stanley affected me more.

However i always made the conscious decision to commemorate the occasion, putting on an album and remembering the genius that was.

Today I stumbled upon an article entitled: KURT COBAIN 15 Years Later: Is He Forgotten?
and i realised, i had forgotten an important date. not only that but i was kinda shocked it was 15yrs, seems like only last year there was a 10th anniversary gig in Limerick, for the record I do think Nirvana and Kurt are still relevant in this day an age, the guy wrote some of the greatest songs of the 90's and some of those are the best of the 20th century (feel free to debate me on this if you want). Kurt inspired a specfic group of a generation, I dont think anyone since can really claim to be the voice of a generation as much as some would like to think they are. I know that when the voice is finally heard, i wont hear it properly, cause it aint my generation now.

Possibly the greatest Wrestlemania match of all time.

The streak remains and the Undertaker adds another name to the list.

Besides that, its kinda been a piss poor PPV.

WELCOME TO WRESTLEMANIA

Share

Yeah, apart from loving Comics, Star Wars, Doctor Who and a big ball of all things Sci Fi, I am also a WWE fan, not as much as I was but TONIGHT is the big ppv of the year.

WRESTLEMANIA!!!

Shall be watching this, mainly for one reason an one reason only as the card this year seems pretty weak. The reason is to see the Deadman go 17-0

Yes... I'll admit, im a huge Undertaker mark, of all the wrestlers ive seen compete he is STILL the one I have yet to see live..... one day, one day.

Grrrr

When I went about setting up a blog space around Oct/Nov last year, I went looking for a few different names for the blog.

Based around different variations of my own name, and "web handles" I've used over the last 6-7 yrs.

All were taken and the alternative were to messy and long.

So i picked Steve616, as its easy to remember and has a nice nerdy meaning to it also.

Steve is my real name, and 616 comes from Marvel comics, Earth 616 is the name used to identify the primary continuity in which most Marvel Comics titles take place. It also allows stories like THE ULTIMATES(Earth1610) an MARVEL ZOMBIES(Earth2149)
Yes, i am a slight comic book nerd, why does this surprise you?Ahhh bless is this your 1st visit to my blog?

Also 616 is also supposed to be the original number of the beast,In 2005, a fragment of papyrus 115 was revealed, containing the earliest known version of that part of the Book of Revelation discussing the Number of the Beast. It gave the number as 616, suggesting that this may have been the original.

Which is kinda cool as it links up to a web name I've been using since 2000, which was Evil Steve.

Oh, yes so what was the point of this, well i was just messing about an hour ago clicked on create a new blog, and it gave me the option to have evil-steve.blogspot.com.

Bastards, it wasn't there 6 months ago.

Oh well, cyber squatting on it now :D

Like A Record Baby...

A 80's classic meets a Sci Fi classic.

Love it

In a blog far far far away...

I posted this video about a year an a half ago

It made made laugh, i think its the introduction of Brent Spinner with his laughing clip used and the VERY sexy Denise Crosby footage, cause hey every 80s sitcom has a sexy vamp.

Today i found that someone had naturally taken the next step and mashed it with Star Wars footage, not as clever it thing, but still suitable nerdy i think you'll find.

Now the only logical conclusion seeing as we've had TREK and WARS is surely yo have GATE.

ill be waiting in antisipation
