It's awesome how well the Team America World Police songs works with this trailer, which was created by YouTube user CelticPredator.

Good News Everyone

Maurice LaMarche, The voice of Kif on futurama recently emailed the guys at bigshinyrobot.com with the following bit of information:

13 new episodes have been ordered, with an additional 13 optional. This is apart from the 13 episodes that will air beginning in June, 2011, on Comedy Central. So, yes, they will air in 13 episode blocks (Comedy Central loves those, for some reason), so that means there will be new Futurama in summer of 2012, and most probably in summer of 2013 as well, all off of this one order. Pretty good news, actually, don’tcha think? Because we kind of spread it out, so there are always new episodes to look forward to. That’s how I look at it, anyway.

Futurama is an undertated show, I for one am looking forward to the new episodes.

Torchwood - Miracle Day

It was revealed earlier this week by Tvline that Torchwood: Miracle Day will make its stateside debut on Starz on Friday, July 8.

No news on when it will get its UK premier but its possible it will be shown the same day here as in the US (as they are currently doing with season 6 of Doctor Who)



“Not a single person on Earth dies” Torchwood boss Russell T. Davies recently explained. “The old stay old. It’s great news for some people, but globally it’s an instant population boom. Earth relies on people dying. Suddenly you’re affecting everyone on the planet. That’s where the Torchwood team comes in.”

Will the show remain the same as it was when it was a fully BBC production, or will it be Americanised and be as bad as Doctor Who - The Movie?? Guess we'll find out July 8th

New Captain America Trailer

New trailer for Captain America: First Avenger came out a few days ago.
I'm kinda liking it so far, The skinny Steve Rodgers looks very good, really great contrast to the big muscley Cpt America.
The movie is set to come out on July 22nd. I'll be there, will you?

Doctor Who Comic Relief

Last night saw two Doctor Who comic relief specials air. Titled Space & Time.
They weren't Comic Relief funny, but they did contain some nice Who styled humor.
I don't think they are as good as the could have been, Children In Needs "Time Crash" was a way better short.
However if you've been missing your Doctor Who fix these might top you up enough till April 23rd

Rocky Horror DC Comics Show

The World of DC comics meets the mind of Richard OBrien.
Batman as Dr. Frank-N-Furter is just INSPIRED as far as I'm concerned.
I'd love to see an animated version of this... It would be the campest nerdiest thing the DCU would ever have created.... Ahhhhh one can but dream.
