What Sandy Collora did next

Share

Ever wonder what happened to the guy who made Batman: Dead End way back in 2003 ?
Well it seems he released his first film called Hunter Prey earlier this year....

My simple review is... Batman: Dead End is far superior than this drawn out piece of shit. I've seen better made Star Wars fan flicks... seriously the costumes even seem to be a mix of Boba Fett meets Clone Trooper.
It reminds me of countless different sci fi shows/stories I've seen over the years.
When Sandy Collora and Nick Damon sat down to write the screenplay for this film I have a feeling they may have watched one or two of the following Deep Space Nine - Rocks and Shoals, Star Trek TOS - Arena, The Outer Limits - The Light Brigade and Enemy Mine

I know Sandy Collora only had a budget of $425000 dollars for this film, which is minuscule budget for a Sci Fi film, however even with a bigger budget i don't see this film being any better. As I've said before, I have seen better fanboy movies... point in case, the above mentioned Batman:Dead End.

Its the story that totally lets him down. It bored me, I really didn't care about any of the characters in this movie which I think comes from the introduction of Intergalactic war as the main plot point FIFTY MINUTES into the story. It was too drawn out, better if it was a 42 minute long Outer Limits episode.

Final words:
Please try harder or go back to making mind blowing fan flicks.

Scott Pilgrim Vs The Matrix

Share

2 things

1) I don't like Michael Cera, Apart from Arrested Development I dont rate any of his work
2) The Matrix Trilogy was a pile of shit.. strong words but as body of work it was shit, its a trilogy built on one amazing film and 2 more cgi wankfests with a Jesus complex thrown in to round it all off....It should have been ONE flim

Why do I mention these things, well because they have both been merged in this amazing mashup trailer to make Scott Pilgrim Vs The Matrix

Scott Pilgrim opens tomorrow and I'm hoping it lives up the they hype.

Didgeri-Who

Share

This video is taken from an Australian show called Spicks and Specks, which as far as I can tell is close to an Aussie version of Nevermind The Buzzcocks (aka a celebrity music quizshow)

Never thought i'd hear the Doctor Who Theme Tune being played on a Didgeridoo, but now i have and i think it works quiet well.

Darth Schwarzenegger

Share

Did you ever wonder what it would be like if James Earl Jones wasn't cast as the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars?

What if the role had gone to a young Austrian chap called Arnold Schwarzenegger?

Well wonder no more because thanks to the internet, we now have that answer.

Gotta love Star wars redubs, they always make me smile, I have posted one of my favourite Starwars redubs here last year.

Beavis & Butthead to return to our screens

Share

After a week or two of speculation it's been confirmed that Mike Judge's classic 1990's MTV animated series Beavis and Butt-Head will be resurrected with a series of all new episodes being created by Judge!

According to MTV:

The new series will keep Beavis and Butt-head in their perpetual high-school state, but it will be updated with today's pop culture. The two characters are known for watching music videos on their crap TV set and making little snarky comments about the videos they are watching. Now they will have targets like Lady Gaga and other popular musical artists out there. The basic plotline centers on two awesomely immature teenage friends whose banter was delivered against the backbeat of their constant idiotic laughter.

And the NYPost reports that "The return of "Beavis and Butt-head" will be a backdoor means for MTV to return to showing music videos -- something the network was founded upon but abandoned in the last decade to make room for popular reality shows like Laguna Beach, The Hills and Jersey Shore."

Beavis & Butthead where quintessentially 90s viewing... shall be interesting to see how the work in this decade .

Is that a banana in your pants?

Share

Australian underwear company AussieBum has been monkeying around and the result is a range of men’s underwear made with bananas.

AussieBum’s Lloyd Jones said on Friday that the new eco-friendly banana range of undies incorporated 27 percent banana fibre, 64 percent cotton and nine percent lycra.

He said the banana fibre used in the underwear was made from a bark weave from the banana plant, which made the underwear not only lightweight but also very absorbent.

They are available here in Hipster & Brief

What... no banana hammocks?

*Insert your innunedo about bananas and possibly even a spanking the monkey reference here*

Not exactly a new news item, but one I forgot to post

Misery Bear Goes To The World Cup

Share

I LOOOOOOOOOOVVE Misery Bear (no smart remarks from certain people, I know what your thinking)
Misery Bear is the brainchild of Chris Hayward and Nat Saunders. Whose previous credits include being writers for TV shows like ‘Smack the Pony’ and ‘Big Train’(Two of my fave British comedy shows)

I cant help but feel that the ending of Saturdays game spliced in at the end would have been as equal a misery for the little bear.

Hacking a computer in a movie

Hacking a computer in the movies is always an "epic" event, one that would seem alot easier if they could just get that one more minute the need.

However in real life it seems to be people getting your facebook account and announcing that you now "love the cock"

I can see why fantasy is more entertaining than real life
