I stopped watching this show regularly mid way through season 6. Seen a random episode here an there since and it hasn't really made me want to go back to watch the show again.
HOWEVER, this trailer for next months TV event movie (aka a double episode showing) has got my interest up.
As a comic book nerd it does make me go "squuuuuuuuuuuueeeee" just a little bit

Denzel Washington Venn Diagram

From Maxim Magazine
The Book of Eli opens this weekend...and Denzel Washington plays yet another rigid character who expresses his emotions through his hatwear, eyewear and stubble. That's been a recurring theme throughout the Oscar winner's career, as evidenced by this handy diagram.

Spartacus: Blood & Sand
Share
This show I think is going to become one of the HITS of 2010.
Just watched the 1st 2 episodes, and I am HOOKED!
Borrowing its style hugely from 300 this retelling of Spartacus is more gritty an violent than any version you have seen before.
This is going to become one of your favourite shows.
I cant wait for Feb 5th for episode 3

FIGHT!!!
Share
So, a game that came out 1994 is being made into a movie.
but not just ANY game, but a game that spawned 8 sequels and by some is regarded as the best fighting game there is.
I am of course referring to TEKKEN
The plot seems to follow the general Tekken storyline from the games
In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu. In order to keep the masses down, Mishima sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters battle until one is left standing, who in turn will receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth. We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a teenage street fighter who enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon the Mishima Zaibatsu's most powerful and controlling chairman – Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament, but in doing so, he begins to uncover his own past and inner demons as well as exposing a dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the very existence of humanity
Game to movie conversions are always piss poor, Super Mario Bros, Doom, Tomb Raider, Street Fighter (excluding the anime of course) and anything Uwe Boll considers looking at.
Shall this one be any different?
Personally I can this being picked out of the bargain bin for 3 euros in about 2 years time.

The A-Team movie trailer has been leaked on line, view it while you can as it'll probably be gone by the end of the day.
1st thoughts, I like its..... I do.
Of course its not THE SAME, the over the top movie voice over guy doesn't work for the intro. Sould be closer to the voice over of the original.
I like Rampage Jackson as BA Bracus , however I do feel there is a lack of "bling"
I'm not going to have high hopes for this film, the A Team was one of those shows from my childhood that had ridiculous plots, tons of violence (yet in 5 series only 2 people ever were shot an killed) and was quentesential saturday afternoon viewing.
Will this be transfered to the big screen? no it cant be, because it would look daft. Its gonna be another part of my childhood eroded on the big screen...
oh well, least its not Michael Bay fucking it up this time

Evil Dead... The Musical?

Just recently found this online:
In all honestly i think i can say "What the fuck was that?"
This stage production has been around since 2006... How come i only discovered it now?
There is so much fake blood used that there is a "splatter zone" in the theatre... 1st 3 rows WILL get covered in blood.
Love to see a production of this, Darren you reckon you could get Myles to do this?
Official page to be found here
Death, Dismemberment and Dance Numbers... What more do you need really?

Knighted

Its seems Patrick Stewart is now SIR Patrick Stewart.
Stewart will be awarded a knighthood by Queen Elizabeth in Britain's New Year Honours List
Stewart, the 69-year-old actor who played Capt. Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation, was honoured for his services to drama during his career that's spanned half a century.
"I am very proud to receive this honour," he told the London Telegraph. "Theatre is and has always been my great joy."
Stewart spent 16 years with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and this year garnered critical acclaim for his role in Waiting for Godot with Ian McKellen in London's West End.
In 2001, Stewart was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
A deserving recipient of the title i think.
Also, Knights can kick the asses of Ninjas, Pirates and Vikings... so there.
