Go watch some Sci Fi(the genre or the tv channel, all good) some anime, dismantle something to just see how it works, read a comic but do so with pride.

Speaking of Stargate...

With the demise of Stargate - SG1 two years ago and Stargate Atlantis bowing out this January, I'd kinda been prepared to forget about the franchise. The rumoured Stargate Universe show didnt really seem to do anything for me, as the story outline and even the description of crew made the whole thing sound like it should have been called Stargate Voyager.

Infact I still believe that to be the case and in away this new trailer does nothing to make me feel excited about this series.

Before I got ready to go out tonight, I got an inkling for listening to some Deicide.
Yeah, DEATH METAL.. what would you expect lol
Anyways,I don't have my copy of Serpents of the Light with me (which is actually the ONLY album by them I like an own)
So I figured, fuck it I BOUGHT the album, surely I'm entitled to download the fucker now.

when i check on its status after 3-4 minutes I saw this:


and it stayed at that percentage of download for 10 minutes...

Its not new, an i may have posted this somewhere before

but I love this song and the video is very clever.

I LOVED the new Star Trek film, it was one of the best summer films i have seen in well over 10yrs, it is probably one of the best Sci Fi films and it is DEFINITELY the best Star Trek film (which i kinda find hard to say as I really like Wrath of Khan)

It was shiny fancy and new, you dont have to be a fan of anything of previous trek to enjoy this. It is almost standalone in its nature.

However... I have a huge major issue with it and I'm finding in the last 24hrs that is SLOWLY eroding my enjoyment of the film.

Simply put...it Canon

The didnt have little tweaks an anomalies

THEY FUCKING PISSED ALL OVER IT!!!!

and THAT is what is pissing me off. I need to find an outraged fanboy to be pissed off with.

Off to see Star Trek today, i cant wait. Mainly cause I feel safe in the knowledge it CANT be worse than nemesis.

Maybe cat flu, horse flu... or dog flu (these actually exist im not making this shit up)
Either way I am sure there will be a glorious panic associated with it, as we had with SARS and Bird Flu.

The news media really do go all out for these "pandemics", scaring the shit out of the general populous . I do wonder if there will be an element of "the boy who cried wolf" to all of this. When we finally do get a global disease that will wipe a huge portion of this planet out, will people simply ignore the news thinking it simply another media disease?
