Doctor Who Meets Peanuts Pt2

Share
These Doctor Who mashups were created by Larry Wentzel . The 11th Doctor with companions and villains as Peanuts characters.

These are definitely better than the peanuts Doctor i blogged about here earlier in the year.

The Varied Roles of Bruce Willis

Share
I think he may be getting typecast.

Missing from the infographic are:

Red: CIA Agent
Surrogates: FBI Agent

If you add in movies like The Siege, Hart's War, Tears of the Sun,Fifth Element and Grindhouse, you kinda realise that Bruce Willis basically plays Police or Military role in every movie...

Blasphemy ?

Share
Han Solo as Captain Kirk? Chewbacca as Mugatu? Blasphemous?
Or... Is it actually Genius?

As both a Star Trek and Star Wars fan I think it's genius.
Clever idea for a crossover.

Comic Book artist Phil Noto created this crossover.

if it hadn’t been for those meddling Starfleet kids…

Share
I do love these random crossover fan art pieces.

Kevin David Anderson, author of 'Night of the Living Trekkies' has released his latest photoshop entry entitle Starfleet Scooby, which shows the Scooby-Doo gang as Star Trek Starfleet officers. Anderson even has a caption for this piece;

“…and the Romulans would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for those meddling Starfleet kids…”

Thankfully no Scrappy Doo in this image, he was shot out a photon tube moments before this was made.

I tried to think of the most harmless thing...

I think its safe to say, this is the greatest snowman of ALL TIME.
This wins, forever, any other attempt will just fail miserably.

Don't know where this was made or who created it as its appeared on a bunch of different sites this morning... Someone is missing out on major Kudos for this however.

Seeing as they makers of this graph put there name on it TWICE is there any point giving them a third name check?

Dr. Seuss Meet Dr. Who

Share
After I posted my last blog entry I came across this image created by Bill Mudron:

Muldron came up with the concept after he read a recent criticism of the Moffat-era of Doctor Who being a glorified version of The Cat in the Hat, to which he couldn't help but think...well...."duh".

I like the idea of Amy & Rory as Thing1 an Thing2

Dr. Seuss does Star Wars

Share
These drawings come from cartoonist Adam Watson.
Puts the world of Star Was in the Universe of Dr. Seuss.

Fun world :D

Batman Likes His Cars

Share

Interesting little graphic from Carinsurance.org.
Who knew Bruce Wayne went through so many Batmobiles? Nearly 20 in the last 3 years, Obviously Wayne Industries aren't feeling the pinch of the global recession that much.
I still think there are a few missing from this list, but oddly enough they are all the "future" versions from the likes of DC 1000000, Batman Beyond and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns .

How many of the 100 listed here did you know of? I'm gonna guess just the ones from the Movies and the Tv shows.

Chewie And Han

Share
You may have noticed im a bit of a fan of Calvin & Hobbes and that i am also a Star Wars fan.(if you read this blog at all... you might noticed these things)

So imagine my delight at discovering THIS tshirt:

Its a pity Bill Watterson didn't make Calvin & Hobbes merchandise, but its rather nice to see fanboys have taken an initiative and made their own.

TShirt available from redbubble

The ULTIMATE fanboy Gift idea

Share
Got a brother/boyfriend/son/father who is a fanboy and difficult to buy presents for.

Then take a look at flashrods.com.
Flashrods apparently "make the coolest hard drive cars"

Bold statement, but i'm not sure there is a lot of competition in the hard drives shaped like cars market.

Well just in case the market gets to crowded Flashrods have played their trump card already.

When it comes to having an external hard drive, having one that looks like the Delorean from BTTF3 is a winner. Now having to pay $250 for a 500gb external hardrive IS a bit steep... I mean they could have at least included HiDef rips of the movie with it.

But its one for the extreme fanboys so i guess that's why it makes it the IDEAL Christmas present.

Links for the car are here

Dr Who Christmas Trinkets

Share
Stuck for a present to get me for Christmas?
No really... you are right?

The try one of these keychains from Thinkgeek.com

Each of these keychains hides a cool secret. The diecast TARDIS keychain unscrews to reveal a secret cash compartment, the other two keychains are mini flashlights: one fashioned like the 10th Doctor's sonic screwdriver, the other a red Dalek.

By the way... I prefer the Tardis one :D

Greedo Shoots First.... in high heels

Share
Here is a recently found photo from the set of Star Wars with George Lucas directing Greedo who happens to be wearing some uncomfortable and ugly looking high heels.

My view of Greedo is now completely changed. I'll never watch Star Wars again without thinking that Greedo is wearing high heels.

Koona t'chuta, Solo? Always though it meant "going somewhere Solo?" Maybe it should be "my heels are killing me Solo"

Star Wars As Other Movies

Share
Graphic Designer Matt Ranzetta comes up with quiet an interesting concept.
Using Imagery from Star Wars he creates movie posters for other movies but yet still manages to make them fit the star wars universe.

I think they are amazing, and I'd love a print of EMPIRE OF THE SUN

How Many Doctors Can You Fit In A Tardis?

Share
Not that many according to this TShirt from www.teefury.com

T-Shirt designed by Ian Leino

Only one slight problem with that T-Shirt, It doesn't exist anymore, Teefury have a policy of one day and then its gone with the t-shirts they sell on their website.
It was yesterdays T-Shirt :(

Still, I do like fanboy T-Shirts

Calvin & Hobbes Vs Ritalin

Share
I am a huge Calvin & Hobbes fan, I can sit and read their comic strip all day long simply because its clever and very witty.

This is a fan edit of one of their strips, The story being I guess that Calvins parents have decided that he suffers from ADD and he has been prescribed Ritalin

Will he abandon his closest and dearest friend... Read and find out.

I have to admit... I kinda got a little choked up at the genius of that fan edit.

Doctor Who Lego

Share
Unfortunately these dont exist.. but why don't they?
Doctor Who and legos are a perfect combination.
Give me a box of blue and white legos and the 1st thing id make would be a tardis :D

Also i'd love to see a Lego Doctor Who game... those games are SOOOOOO much fun

Can you name them all?

Also...25 years of videos games and I've never seen him use a plunger... So leave the fucking Dalek alone.... It'll only end in tears.
