Star Wars As Other Movies

Share
Graphic Designer Matt Ranzetta comes up with quiet an interesting concept.
Using Imagery from Star Wars he creates movie posters for other movies but yet still manages to make them fit the star wars universe.

I think they are amazing, and I'd love a print of EMPIRE OF THE SUN

Calvin & Hobbes Vs Ritalin

Share
I am a huge Calvin & Hobbes fan, I can sit and read their comic strip all day long simply because its clever and very witty.

This is a fan edit of one of their strips, The story being I guess that Calvins parents have decided that he suffers from ADD and he has been prescribed Ritalin

Will he abandon his closest and dearest friend... Read and find out.

I have to admit... I kinda got a little choked up at the genius of that fan edit.

Defenders Of The Earth Live Action Trailer

Share

The great thing about the internet is that, it has taken every drunken or stoner conversation that has ever taken place and helped move it towards reality.

In this case it took the question "Dude... if they made a live action version of 80s Tv Classic Defenders Of The Earth, who would play the main cast?" and answered it with a mash up fan fiction trailer.

Ok, so... a few things.

Bruce Willis as Flash Gordon? Are you for fucking real? He is way too old to play Flash.Even with having a son whos 17-18 he is waaaaaaaaay to old. Daniel Craig however would be spot on.
Christian Bale as Mandrake is perfect casting and although you left out his assistant Kshin I would suggest Dev Patel in the role.
And while I agree Vin Diesel is a good call... I would suggest Rampage Jackson for Lothar, he is the perfect Big Angry Black Guy for the role.

Other than that... fun mash up trailer

What Sandy Collora did next

Share

Ever wonder what happened to the guy who made Batman: Dead End way back in 2003 ?
Well it seems he released his first film called Hunter Prey earlier this year....

My simple review is... Batman: Dead End is far superior than this drawn out piece of shit. I've seen better made Star Wars fan flicks... seriously the costumes even seem to be a mix of Boba Fett meets Clone Trooper.
It reminds me of countless different sci fi shows/stories I've seen over the years.
When Sandy Collora and Nick Damon sat down to write the screenplay for this film I have a feeling they may have watched one or two of the following Deep Space Nine - Rocks and Shoals, Star Trek TOS - Arena, The Outer Limits - The Light Brigade and Enemy Mine

I know Sandy Collora only had a budget of $425000 dollars for this film, which is minuscule budget for a Sci Fi film, however even with a bigger budget i don't see this film being any better. As I've said before, I have seen better fanboy movies... point in case, the above mentioned Batman:Dead End.

Its the story that totally lets him down. It bored me, I really didn't care about any of the characters in this movie which I think comes from the introduction of Intergalactic war as the main plot point FIFTY MINUTES into the story. It was too drawn out, better if it was a 42 minute long Outer Limits episode.

Final words:
Please try harder or go back to making mind blowing fan flicks.

Any ways, the story goes:

I built the triple bunk bed for my mother's new home to be used by my son, and nephews. My mother moved into a small home without much of a yard and was looking for a creative way to entertain the grandchildren while at the same time solving the problem of limited sleeping space and limited square footage. The beds could, however, take advantage of her 10 foot ceilings.

I've always been a big Star Wars fan and was looking for a subject that made sense for this design. A Walker already had four legs and it seemed an obvious choice to base my design on. I wanted it to look as real as possible. In order to accomplish movement, I made the bunk beds appear to be walking. I also made several additions to the beds, for example a complete Hoth lego display case on the second level as well as additional areas for the kids to play and climb.

When I started the project I had to solve the problem of skewing the scale of the model to suit the needs of three beds and also had to figure out a way to make the entire design modular in concept. I never intended it to be quite so detailed but this aspect took on a life of its own as I began to build it.

I live in a town home in Carmel Indiana and have always had a modest wood shop. It's composed of compound sliding saw, a few sanders, a drill press, router, cnc router, and a few saws and sanders from
Festool. I worked on the project two days a week from the end of September 2009 until its completion in February 2010. I would guess I had somewhere between 300-400 hours by the time the sanding and
painting was complete. It received quite a bit of attention from friends and neighbors during the end of its time in my garage. After its completion it was taken apart and transported to my mother's house in Ohio and it took approximately two men two hours to first take it apart and then an additional two hours to put it back together.

Now that's hardcore

some kids are just spoilt

Share
Why didn't I have a bedroom like this growning up? Actually why don't i have a bedroom like this NOW.

Some kids have all the luck and some kids have a father who will build them a Y-Wing hanger themed bedroom.

X-Wing however would have been TRUELY genius... just saying is all.

Green Lantern

Share
I do so wish this was a real trailer, but alas its not, but is this not one of the greatest movie trailers of all time?

Talk about throwing down a gauntlet for the director of the real film once it gets out of Production hell
