Rocky Horror DC Comics Show
Share
The World of DC comics meets the mind of Richard OBrien.
Batman as Dr. Frank-N-Furter is just INSPIRED as far as I'm concerned.
I'd love to see an animated version of this... It would be the campest nerdiest thing the DCU would ever have created.... Ahhhhh one can but dream.

This mash was created by Leigh Kellogg. There are more examples of her fantastic art here.

Doctor Who Building Bricks
ShareA few months ago I said I'd love to see a Doctor Who lego set. Its seems im now getting my wish.. sort of.
These images were taken at the London toy fair 2 weeks ago and i have to say... they look kinda fun, a sort of Playmobil and Lego look to the characters.
The packaging on the boxes say "compatiable" but it doesn't say what to... I'm gonna assume the mean to other lego sets....
More photos of the sets can be seen at DoctorWhoToys.net.

ZOMG NERDGASM!!!

Ahem... sorry.
The piece above was created by Mike Mayhew (pencils) and Rain Beredo (colors) and is for a forthcoming issue of Wizard magazine.
Its pretty fecking epic... now can any nerd fanboys spot the mistakes*?
Mike Mayhew's penciled version can be found here
*Daleks teaming up with cybermen, Romulans and Klingons is not one of them

ShareAbove photo is of a competitor wearing a Doctor Who Cybermen cap at the Cold Water Swimming Championships at the Tooting Bec lido in London last month.
What the hell is "Cold Water Swiming Championship" I hear you ask... Follow this link and it kinda explains it a bit better.

Wrong time traveling telephone box there guys...

This "most awesome" piece of artwork by Christopher Jones featuring Bill and Ted surrounded by the Daleks from Dr. Who. You can buy the 11x17 reproduction prints on Etsy.

I think its safe to say, this is the greatest snowman of ALL TIME.
This wins, forever, any other attempt will just fail miserably.

Don't know where this was made or who created it as its appeared on a bunch of different sites this morning... Someone is missing out on major Kudos for this however.

Batman Likes His Cars
ShareInteresting little graphic from Carinsurance.org.
Who knew Bruce Wayne went through so many Batmobiles? Nearly 20 in the last 3 years, Obviously Wayne Industries aren't feeling the pinch of the global recession that much.
I still think there are a few missing from this list, but oddly enough they are all the "future" versions from the likes of DC 1000000, Batman Beyond and Batman: The Dark Knight Returns .
How many of the 100 listed here did you know of? I'm gonna guess just the ones from the Movies and the Tv shows.

You may have noticed im a bit of a fan of Calvin & Hobbes and that i am also a Star Wars fan.(if you read this blog at all... you might noticed these things)
So imagine my delight at discovering THIS tshirt:

Its a pity Bill Watterson didn't make Calvin & Hobbes merchandise, but its rather nice to see fanboys have taken an initiative and made their own.
TShirt available from redbubble

The ULTIMATE fanboy Gift idea

Got a brother/boyfriend/son/father who is a fanboy and difficult to buy presents for.
Then take a look at flashrods.com.
Flashrods apparently "make the coolest hard drive cars"
Bold statement, but i'm not sure there is a lot of competition in the hard drives shaped like cars market.
Well just in case the market gets to crowded Flashrods have played their trump card already.

When it comes to having an external hard drive, having one that looks like the Delorean from BTTF3 is a winner. Now having to pay $250 for a 500gb external hardrive IS a bit steep... I mean they could have at least included HiDef rips of the movie with it.
But its one for the extreme fanboys so i guess that's why it makes it the IDEAL Christmas present.
Links for the car are here

Stuck for a present to get me for Christmas?
No really... you are right?
The try one of these keychains from Thinkgeek.com
Each of these keychains hides a cool secret. The diecast TARDIS keychain unscrews to reveal a secret cash compartment, the other two keychains are mini flashlights: one fashioned like the 10th Doctor's sonic screwdriver, the other a red Dalek.

By the way... I prefer the Tardis one :D
