some kids are just spoilt

Share
Why didn't I have a bedroom like this growning up? Actually why don't i have a bedroom like this NOW.

Some kids have all the luck and some kids have a father who will build them a Y-Wing hanger themed bedroom.

X-Wing however would have been TRUELY genius... just saying is all.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Share
Ok, 1st off... what the hell is an Imaginarium??

I haven't a clue, but i do like this trailer for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, it was the film Heath Ledger was filming when he died.

Rather than abandon the project one-third of the way through filming, Ledger's role was recast with Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell portraying transformations of Ledger's character Tony as he travels through a dream world.

Gotta say, it looks mental... even if a bit of it looks like that coke ad from 2008.

Not seen the new film yet, I've heard its terrible an brilliant at the same time.
This however is hilarious, also get bonus brilliance points because it has Henry Rollins in there as Hawk and Sgt. Slaughter in there as... well Sgt. Slaughter.

FTW as the kids say on the internets these days

An Alabama woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say she injured a child while dragging it through a store in Rome.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Melissa Catherine Smith-Means, 37, of Gaylesville, Ala., was arrested by Rome police around 12:30 p.m. She was charged with felony first-degree cruelty to children.

Police say she was observed by customers and employees at a store on Broad Street, dragging a small child around by a backpack leash. The child had visible marks on the neck from the incident.

She remains in jail without bail

I am in COMPLETE shock with this video, seriously you wouldn't even treat a dog like that.
Still i'm sure that child will have a better upbringing than a child with gay parents, after all... that is the argument for not letting gay people adopt right?

Tom Baker to return as the Fourth Doctor

Share

From the BBC Doctor Who page

Tom Baker is returning as the Fourth Doctor in a series of audio adventures known collectively as Doctor Who: Hornets' Nest. His co-stars include Rula Lenska, Stephen Thorne and Michael Maloney. Richard Franklin is also onboard, reprising his role of Mike Yates who viewers last saw in 1974's Planet of the Spiders, the first story to feature Tom Baker as the Doctor.

Tom travelled in the TARDIS for 7 years before handing over to Peter Davison in Logopolis and although he has made brief appearances in The Five Doctors, flashbacks and a charity special, these are the first 'full' dramas which feature the Fourth Doctor since 1981.

Paul Magrs, who wrote all five of The Hornets' Nest adventures, commented, 'It feels fantastic to write for him. I would say he's a brilliant mixture of everything the Fourth Doctor ever was. He's dark and sombre at times; other times he's gleefully macabre and mischievous.'

The individual stories which make up the quintet are entitled The Stuff of Nightmares, The Dead Shoes, The Circus of Doom, A Sting in the Tale and Hive of Horror and they will be available on CD and as download from September 2009.

We'll be bringing you more details and some clips soon, but in the meantime we have a gallery which includes shots taken at the cast recording.

The story which reignited my love affair for graphic novels/comics is being made into a movie.

Which... if this follows on from the comic in anyways proper fashion, there shall also be a sequel "World War Hulk".

My only peeve us that hulk doesn't look pissed off enough, mind you, if the sequel happens he will be UBER pissed off.

Wonder if this will lead to a Skaar movie... or is that a fan boy dream to far ??

So it's a shitty rainy day here in Limerick city, with only my Internet to keep me sane, flicking through sites i realise that the BBC have released an new Trailer for The Waters Of Mars.

YAY!!! Much bouncing, as well a new Doctor Who trailer is always a reason for me to get excited

I dare you not to grin, when he says "well I don't hear anyone knocking, Do you?

Now I had watched the trailer 4-5 times, all with a HUGE feck off grin on my face, feeling oh so slightly great about my self, when i discovered something else

The trailer for The end of time.

The very LAST David Tennant Doctor Who story. It was shown last week at Comic-Con.

It has a squeeeeee factor of 100, please be seated when watching.

Love that collective audience squeeee at the end... I know how they felt.

Is it ever to late for this kinda thing?

Not sure, but i'm sure that this maxes out my bad taste quota for the day.

Any complaints, what she said at the end ok

So another new Stargate: Universe trailer

Christ it looks so bad, infact it looks so bad I thought it was a fan made trailer till he was "beamed up"

Sorry even an Empire strikes back reference isn't gonna save this.

I shall be watching this probably on the 3rd of October, but dont be expecting favourable reviews.

Further news since this post.

Apparently Maurice Sendak is very enthusiastic about Spike Jonze adaptation of his book.
A new featurette shows some new footage along with Sendak drawing parallels between himself an Jonze.

Hopefully this bodes well.

I think it would be upsetting for me if this film doesn't meet my expectations

Alice In Wonderland

Share
Trailer for the new Tim Burton film, Alice In Wonderland has reached the internet.
Film features Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham-Carter's barmy looking Red Queen, and Mia Wasikowska as Alice herself.

Johnny Depp in a Tim Burton film?

Who would have thought of it?

Wonder shall he be playing a sort of weird gothic character?

See for yourselves

Seriously... chill out

I live with a guy who is HUGELY in to his World of Warcraft (henceforth i shall refer to it as WoW), in fact up until a year ago this Apt was full of WoW players.

Now my house mate may spend a month doing quests and collecting "gold" just so he can be one of the very few people in the game that owns a "motorbike"

But apart from this one detail, I know little of his adventures WoW.

Which is a small mercy, because I wouldn't be living here if he took the game as seriously as this kid.

This is ALL real apparently, its best watched in order.

While watching the rest of videos on his brothers youtube channel I can only surmise that th his kid is in need of some big time therapy, he is just a spoilt rich kid with no concept of reality.
